I'm playing the PSP version, which is broken up into two games: Passion Pink and Brilliant Blue because there were so many brothers they had to split it up. 😂 The version for the PS Vita where they combined the two is called Precious Baby.
The story starts with Hinata Ema heading towards her new home. Her father has remarried and Miwa, the new wife, has 11 sons. I don't know yet if they're all blood-related or not because...dayum. Ema has a companion squirrel named Juli that looks like a girl but speaks in a manly voice hahah. Anyway, so Miwa and the brothers own this whole complex called
Sunrise Residence. I think it said Miwa runs an apparel shop? And the sons have various jobs or are still in school. There are a set of twins who are seiyuu. The age gap between the youngest and oldest is quite large and they all look very different except the twins I guess?
Character impressions/types:
Masaomi: Gentle doctor type, I like it
Kaname: Playboy monk, back off dude
Tsubaki: imouto moe, weird voice, too handsy
Azusa: Seems like he holds Tsubaki's leash
Subaru: he blush (bad with girls)
Yuusuke (red-head): Ema's classmate, boisterous, probably a tsundere?
Wataru: Weird voice for a kid
Iori: ikemen popular high-schooler, aloof
Ukyou: sorry, I thought of A3! Ukyou with that hair and manner haha
Miwa: aw she gets a daughter and they get along so well!
Rintarou: I'm glad he found someone he loves after losing his wifeAw, Ema's friend Maho is cute, and Sasakura is nice.
I decided to start with Yuusuke's route first. It's going to be a 'classmates turned siblings fall in love' one. According to the guide, giving anyone gifts who you're not romancing is a no just in case. 😩 Not even Wataru (I know, he has a route too)?? Also you can't spend any time with anyone besides your chosen LI, I guess it's too risky too.
Seems like Ryuusei could hear Juli speak to Ema?
Yuusuke and Subaru are funny and cute together. 😊 Ema getting so excited during Subaru's game was hilarious, too. Methinks Yuusuke puts Subaru on too high of a pedestal though.
I kinda like Iori, he's so...soft? And he's gentle with Ema. Fuuto on the other hand looks soft but is spiky lol I look forward to his route to see why.
Poor Ema at the beach villa, the boys lusting after her and being weird because she wore a two-piece. 😅 It's funny that Subaru made her wear his hoodie but he's still wearing it in his sprite. Ah yes, women can't join in with the big boys, they're too weak to keep up. Also women are there to be ogled even if they are your new sister and underage. I'm trying to see this from the average younger girl's POV playing this I swear, but it's hard. Also Ema is very very dense, she can't fathom that a guy would think she's cute or that showing a lot of skin would make guys aware of her femininity or that certain things are seen as couple things.
Yuusuke freaking out over Ema stepping on a seashell. 😂 "Save her!" It's the first time seeing the girl he's really starting to like be hurt, plus he freaked out and missed what she said, he just saw the blood and ran with her to Masaomi. And come to find out, Masaomi (a doctor) has a fear of blood?!
Maho keeping the bunny outfit secret from Ema until the day of...NOT a good bestie move.
Miwa trying to get her new teenage daughter hitched to one of her sons at her wedding;; Oh yeah, and Tsubaki and Azusa are actually triplets with Natsume and whom Subaru has some kind of beef with??
So Rintarou and Miwa don't even live in the same part of the complex as the kids?? I bet neither of them gave the guys a talk about not sexually harassing Ema while living in such close proximity without a guardian. >.> Plus Wataru is 10 years old, yeah the older bros probably help him but way to be hands off.
Well I was not expecting
this twist. While Ema was looking for the empty photo book to put the wedding photos, she found a box with stuff that included a picture of her as a baby being held by a man named Kenji and a certificate that says he's her dad. So if something happened to him and Rintarou adopted her, he's kept this a secret all her life. I get waiting until she was like 12 or so but she's like 16, right? I did get the feeling he wanted to tell her something when he first introduced her to Miwa.
So I've lost all trust in the guide I've been using and have switched to another and am kind of winging it otherwise.
The whole Hikaru thing was so awkward, they didn't tell Ema who Hikaru was so she assumed Hikaru was Kaname's girlfriend and I got second hand embarrassment. Hikaru presents completely feminine including voice but everyone including him finds it funny that Ema thought he was a woman. Miwa was so excited to get a daughter when she had Hikaru this whole time who probably would've loved dressing up. And Ukyou saying it's rude for Hikaru to call he and Ema sisters because ~he's really a man~. Pretty sure Hikaru has a route, I'm scared how that will be handled.
I must like soft boys, I like Ryuusei too.

Wow, Masaomi being forced into an omiai...and Miwa implying she wished it had been Ema. BTW, Ema is 16 I think and Masaomi is 31. (Speaking as someone who dgaf about age gaps, I just think it's funny especially thinking of the speech Miwa gave about how they don't care if Ema gets with one of her sons despite being their new sister - Rintarou did speak up and say it's Ema's a bit young to be married at 16 after Miwa gave her the bouquet). BTW the wedding is the first time we see Rintarou near Ema again, we don't get any 'fatherly check-ins' to make sure Ema is doing okay with all the boys.
It's interesting how Ryuusei uses 'chii' just like Juli does. 🤔 That's certainly not a common way to address people, ya know??
LMAO sick burn from Ema to Kaname on Christmas, glad she's able to snap back at him for his womanizing.
I'm not sure but I think you can romance Tsubasa and Azusa together, I look forward to that.

Oop, Sasakura finally confessed his feelings to Ema and of course someone overheard. I feel maybe a little bad for Sasakura, he's not a bad guy. He should've confessed sooner, though I think Ema would've said 'I don't see you that way' still. He did say 'you might change your mind' but he also said he'd like to be friends so I don't think he would bring it up again unless she did, which she won't.
Ack, Yuusuke started avoiding Ema because of the rumors that they were going out. =( He's the one who wanted to keep it secret that they were siblings now. The rumors would die down if they told the truth. (Of course that would not help in this situation since they like each other.)
On Ema getting bullied by Minakami... "If I ignore it it will stop." Maybe if you completely abandoned Yuusuke but it will only escalate as long as you stay by his side. And Yuusuke needs to know about it unless you think he's the kind of guy who would want to be friends with a bully. Fuuto's part in Yuusuke becoming aware of the bullying was interesting.

The sleepovers were my favorite part! I wonder if the other routes get something similar? Lol I'm scared to imagine Kaname's.
So Yuusuke turned out to be a big tsundere who has a sense of justice, and if you choose 'fair' options, even if his sense of chivalry rears up, he likes Ema better for it. He can be a bit sexist but it's not ill-intentioned of course. I found Yuusuke/Ema to be really sweet and enjoyed them together. I worry I should have saved him for last though after a spoiler I saw...I may just end up feeling bad for him with each new route, oops.
I saved some screencaps but didn't realize the program wasn't working right, booo.
After I finished the route I went back and looked at the Yuusuke album only to realize I was missing one, and there was no way I was moving on with this game until I got it, so I had to look through multiple guides until I tracked it down, finally went into the Memories section and found the right chat, I still don't know how it happened but it was worth it for this screenshot:
I'd say I give this route an 8.5/10? I'm typing this when it's been a few weeks since finishing because of trying to figure out what scene I was missing;;
As for the game itself, it was very tedious after a while of scheduling days with only a few chats here and there plus the amount of repeating dates, even though I did the same date location multiple times I still think I misses some scenarios. At least I'll be more used to it when I do another route.
