huh. i havent posted in near a month :0. i have some things to talk abt lol :3

nothing irl has been happening. i had an english test (b2 first). i think i did well except for my writting part, as I had to rush it out in 10 minutes bc i was too obsessed counting the words i had lol. i also did a vocational test that the school payed for, but sadly i’ll get my results on october;-;, which is a shame as last week many students got their results and they all seemed excited and thought they were pretty precise…well ig i’ll have to wait….i hope I get animation or computer science as a result;-;.

i had a math test yesterday and i have other 2 next week, including a science one, which i feel unprepared for as they are always hard. also my mom wants me to change schools as well the schools environment and academic stuff (which has been on a constant downfall since 2023) don’t make up for the school’s fee costs, and she has been thinking this for quite some time, and it got to the point where yesterday we literally went to the school mom wants us to go to and made the FUCKING ADMISSION TEST even though there’s nothing truly decided yet. my brother’s against, as he feels that this is waaaayyyy to abrupt (i agree) and despite everything, he’s happy there ig. my personal decision? i need to talk about it with mom by ourselves, as idk rrlly…I don’t have anything there to stay for, BUT THIS IS RLLY SUDDEN, and ig im resigned to stay there and rot till i graduate and is no big deal if u ask me, but…ehhhghfhj…yeah we need to talk.

media wise, the pilot for knights of guinevere came out :D!!! for an indie show, the animation was STUNNING and surprisingly fluid like dude im serious i can’t believe it. the plot may have needed more build up, and i do feel like the excitement i had was affected by the first part, as the teaser pretty much used the entire thing lol, but i was satisfied by the later plot, though i need to rewatch it, as people on tumblr have been going crazy over it and have noticed plenty of little details that im sure will improve my experience watching it :3. i have also been listening to more kpop recently (the kpop demon hunters fan to regular kpop listener pipeline is real) and well, ive been pretty obsessed with some skz songs (though i havent listened to their whole discography yet) :3, i think became an artms and katseye fan (QUICK BREAK TO CELEBRATE THAT THE GIRLS WON A VMA!!!! im happy to have been on the katseyecord live watch :3) though idk if i venture more on the casual listener for artms (like w/ enhypen), as i listened to all their songs and im looking forward to their releases, but i haven’t been active on the fandom nor on the more “social” aspects of it, unlike katseye lol (though i havent watched the latest viewfinder nor dream academy….am i a fake fan guys 💔). ALSO QUICK APPRECIATION FOR MEGAN AT THE TEEN VOGUE SUMMIT. SHE LOOKED GORGEOUS AAAHHHHHHHH. i wish i could go to the stereo picnic to see them but is too expensive ;-;. eh it is what it is, and I would’ve gotten a heart attack seeing megan live (did I mention she’s my bias?) cuz she’s so pretty omg and nice and lovely I LOOOVE HER. need to finish my drawing of her soon 🙏. also i srsly need to watch chainsaw man…the film may be here on october soon and ive got nothing…i got to like volume 3 or 4 (or whichever in where himeno does The Thing) and maybe it’ll be better to watch the anime instead and then i’ll read the manga later…I want to watch it on cinemas, the ost is lovely as everything by kensuke goatshio and im sure i’ll be cool af to watch it on cinemas.

speaking of such, i have watched a couple of films lately!!! my brother rlly likes kny, so we went to see the infinity castle movie at cinema. even if i havent watched anything related to demon slayer (aside from the 73628373 spoilers my brother told me), i still found it pretty enjoyable:3. the animation and music did for some pretty epic shit, though i do think that, as surprinsingly well done the flashbacks were (i seriously thought they were going to be corny af SPECIALLY with the classic anime dialogue, but worked nonetheless :0), it did interrupt the rhythm of the fights, to the point the excitement kinda wore down a bit, though not a lot due to the animation. watched american psycho too, and i seriously don’t understand why tf people idolize patrick bateman. how can someone perceive him as an “ideal” male who is the embodiment of success independence whatever, if anything he’s the most aggressively autistic boyfailure in history…like he’s so autistic is unreal (SPECIALLY BC HIS SO UNEXPRESSIVE ON HIS FACIAL EXPRESSIONS BUT NOT ON HIS VOICE. dude i feel that so hard). and he’s so pathetic on multiple aspects too and he speaks like those pretentious letterboxd reviews or video essays and is cartoonishly bigoted and sexualizases lesbians yet he has very relatable moments (i may never admit it, but I’ve had my card moments sometimes lol) yet his boyfailure tendencies somehow don’t contradict his own violent tendencies. it may help the film binds reality to a certain extent so it doesn’t feel as weird as it should. but while it works very well for comedic value (i couldnt stop laughing at the sex scene he filmed 😭), bateman doesnt feel cartoonish at all, more on the contrary, he feels pretty well written. christian bale really nailed it, he might’ve thought bateman was an alien but somehow he ended up feeling like the opposite. the tonal ship at the end came up really good despite of the fact i thought the climax was a little rushed, and it really settled the horror for me, more than the explicit acts of violence. maybe the true horror is everyone’s ignorance to batsman’s brutal acts, who knows. but yeah 8/10 would watch again :3
